FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fort Worth, Texas (March 14, 2017) – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) and leading publishing company Morris Media Network have announced a new partnership between Morris Media Network’s Enthusiast Group and the NCHA’s Cutting Horse Chatter magazine. Morris Media Network will produce the association’s
monthly magazine beginning with the June issue.
“We are excited about our new publishing partnership with Morris Media Network,” NCHA President Chuck Smith said. “They are the perfect partner to publish the Cutting Horse Chatter given their vast experience in producing a broad range of premier magazines, including five titles within the equine world.”
Morris Media Network is the force behind several award-winning equine publications, including its flagship title, Western Horseman, and the National Reined Cow Horse Association’s magazine, Reined Cow Horse News. The company has nearly four decades of experience covering the cutting horse industry thanks to the dedication of Chairman and CEO Billy Morris III, whose passion for cutting horses is being passed down through his grandson William, who competes in the Non-Pro and Youth.
“Morris Media Network has enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the NCHA, so we are most delighted to extend that relationship with this new partnership,” Morris said. “The NCHA has a dedicated membership that is passionate about the cutting horse industry, and we are thrilled to help bring the latest cutting news and information to those members.”
The decision to partner with Morris Media Network came following the retirement of longtime Cutting Horse Chatter Publisher Alan Gold.
“After more than 20 years of having the Chatter under the passionate stewardship of Alan Gold, it was obvious the NCHA would have big shoes to fill,” Smith said. “We knew Morris Media Network had a similar passion for publishing within the equine industry and felt they would be best suited to build upon the current success and take the Chatter into the future.”
Along with the monthly Cutting Horse Chatter, Morris Media Network will produce the association’s multiple show programs and additional supplements.
